Daves Supra!

This car is an animal. Seriously one of my favourite cars I have ever been involved with. Pretty much the best street combo. The car features a very custom Independent Speed Shop EFI harness mated to a vipec v88, and a Independent Speed Shop dyno tune. Harness includes DT connectors where ever possible, weather proof Bosch injector connectors, Custom LS ignition, Boost control , fuel pressure sensor for fail safe, Meth flow sensor for fail safe, and front and rear speed sensors plus much more.

The car has one of my favourite engine combos : CP pistons, street ported head, 264 degree cams, PT 67mm turbo, ARP every where, aem water meth kit. On a very soft tune the car laid down almost 570rwhp on water meth and pump gas. With very little seat time, some good tires and some launch control Dave very easily pulled out a 11.6 @ 123mph.   I can not say enough good things about the Vipec line of ECUs. They are easily the most powerful ecu in the price range and are constantly releasing new features. Check out Vi-pec.com for full ecu specs and contact the Independent Speed Shop for ecu pricing and install options.

69 Chevelle Break Out Dash Harness

We recently had a customer drop of his 69 Chevelle for a complete rewire. As part of the new harness he had us pre wire several circuits for future upgrades. Any one who has had the priveledge of working on early vehicles would know that to remove the stock gauge cluster you have to remove every single connector and bulb one by one and remember where they all go. Considering the cluster will have to be removed in the future to install the planned upgrades we decided to make this simple break out plug for the cluster that greatly simplifies the removal and install.

Pats SR20'ed s13

BIC ManiPats EnginePats DynoPats S13

The independent speed shop recently had the pleasure to consult on Pat's sr20 project. He wanted a responsive setup that still makes good power and have decent off boost characteristics.Previosly he had fitted a Haltech Sport 1000, Greddy FMIC and a GT30 on a Ebay top mount manifold. That setup made 300 rwhp but did not have the response Pat was after. We decided to go with a set of Jim Wolf 260 degree cams, arp studs, cometic HG, and a Garrett gt2871 with Tial V band turbine housing. We contracted Randy at BIC Performance to build a v banded top mount manifold and Pat put the combo together. The car was then tuned by the Independent Speed Shop and on the Rollers the car layed Down 350rwhp at 16 psi. The car has much more off boost torque and is much more responsive than the gt30r. Needless to say Pat is more than happy.
